Colourful chairman and hands-on driving force behind IK’s major push in the 1990s. With IK far down the Swedish league system, the chairman’s job was broad in practice. Mellström helped drive the project that took off with Peter Ekroth and Skeeter Moore and became the start of the climb from Division 3. The Eagles identity and eagle crest were also introduced during his time.
