The decision is in.
The Swedish Ice Hockey Association disciplinary committee has suspended Almtuna’s Oscar Pentler for two games following the kneeing hit on Anton Malmström in Friday’s 8–2 game at Be-Ge Hockey Center.
Pentler is suspended from 17 October through 23 October 2026. The sanction applies to participation in ice hockey competition and exhibition games and is assessed as equivalent to two games.
He has also been fined SEK 3,000.
This is the follow-up to the referral HockeyAllsvenskan’s Players Safety Group sent to the disciplinary committee earlier on Saturday. The referral – and now the suspension – concerns the incident involving Anton Malmström, not the Matt Brown situation.
Malmström is on loan to IK from Björklöven.
