IK Oskarshamn has now confirmed that Theodor Hallquisth is joining the club on loan from Örebro.
The agreement covers two games. That matters: for now, this looks like a short-term solution while IK deals with absences on defence, not a permanent addition to the roster.
Hallquisth, 19, is also a notable prospect for international readers. The Minnesota Wild selected the Swedish defenceman 52nd overall in the second round of the 2025 NHL Draft. He was part of Sweden’s group at the 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase, putting him in the wider selection conversation ahead of the 2027 World Junior Championship. A World Juniors roster spot is not confirmed.
Last season Hallquisth played 30 games on loan with Troja-Ljungby in HockeyAllsvenskan. He returns to the league now for a very short spell with IK.
The two-game limit also shapes how GLID INTE treats the move. We are not adding Hallquisth as a permanent member of the squad section and there will be no full “Get to know” profile for an emergency loan. If the stay is extended, that changes the discussion.
