GOALTENDING
Emil Vuorio stopped 39 of 40 registered shots, a .975 save percentage over roughly 90 minutes of recorded playing time. Axel Nyman stopped 10 of 11, a .909 save percentage in just under 35 recorded minutes. Exhibition-game data is not complete, but it gives a useful early indication.
KARLSSON AND SVENSSON
Karlsson’s route is interesting in its own right. He spent part of his junior development in North America before returning to Sweden, has produced heavily at lower levels and now enters the HockeyAllsvenskan season after leading IK in preseason scoring.
Svensson carries the more obvious North American hook because of the Chicago Blackhawks draft connection. Six preseason points do not prove anything about the regular season, but the combination of production, power-play usage and a rival sporting director predicting a top-15 scoring finish makes him one to follow.
