IK have nominated Axel Elofsson, Manuel Ågren and Joel Svensson for October’s Player of the Month award. All three are credible candidates, but for very different reasons. Elofsson has been an offensive engine from the blue line. He recorded three assists against Visby/Roma, and his ability to get attacks moving has added another dimension to IK’s game. Ågren did not make his season debut until October 14, but quickly transformed the team with his experience, skill and unmistakable Oskarshamn identity. In the win over Visby, the Oskarshamn trio of Ågren, Filiph Engsund and Calle Karlsson scored five of IK’s six goals. Joel, meanwhile, has the strongest overall case. He registered four assists against Visby/Roma and ended the month with two power-play goals in the 3–1 win over MoDo. His production has not been limited to one standout game—it has been a feature throughout the autumn. Our October verdict therefore goes to Joel Svensson, with Ågren’s immediate impact making him the main challenger. But the supporters decide: voting is available through IK’s official website.

Elofsson, Ågren or Joel: who was IK’s best player in October?
IK have nominated Axel Elofsson, Manuel Ågren and Joel Svensson for October’s Player of the Month award. All three are credible candidates, but for very different reasons. Elofsson has driven the offence from the blue line, while Ågren made an immediate impact with his experience, skill and unmistakable Oskarshamn identity. Joel, however, has the strongest overall case after producing throughout the autumn and ending October with two power-play goals against MoDo. Our pick is Joel Svensson, with Ågren his closest challenger—but the supporters have the final say through the vote on IK’s official website.
